1st International Photography Contest on “Economy and the Human Being”

The 1st International Photography Contest with the theme “Economy and the Human Being”, organized to document the close relationship between the economy and the human being with photographs taken in different human, physical and regional geographies, and to raise and expand awareness about participation in the economic and social life, attracted 4,781 photographs by 1,362 artists from 30 countries.

At the end of the contest, the Jury deemed 10 photographs worthy of an award and 100 of exhibition. The first of the exhibitions displaying these photographs was held on 7-21 November 2017 at the CerModern Arts Center in Ankara and the second on 12-28 February 2018 at the Taksim Cumhuriyet Art Gallery in Istanbul. The exhibitions featured works by photography artists from Türkiye, Vietnam, Czechia, the People’s Republic of China, India, Bangladesh, Iran and Malaysia.
