There is a huge amount of studies and researches carried out in the field of financial education. The studies carried out by the OECD since 2003 were further expanded with the creation of the International Network on Financial Education – INFE in 2008. The INFE was established as a platform bringing together public bodies with special expertise or interest in financial education and has members from 112 countries including Türkiye.

The INFE focuses on supporting the design of national strategies for financial education, measuring financial literacy, financial education in schools, protection of financial consumer, evaluation of financial education programs and financial education of women. INFE has expanded its area of research and started collecting and evaluating data from financial literacy surveys in international level and the INFE expert subgroups make comparative analyses and researches. These INFE studies are internationally recognized.

The selection from INFE studies below has been published as the OECD/INFE High Level Principles, and the “OECD/INFE High-Level Principles on National Strategies For Financial Education” and the “OECD/INFE Policy Guidance on Addressing Women’s and Girls’ Needs for Financial Awareness and Education” have been either approved or endorsed by the G20 Leaders; and the “INFE High- Level Principles for the Evaluation of Financial Education Programmes” has been approved by the OECD Committee on Financial Markets (CMF) and the OECD Insurance and Private Pensions Committee (IPPC).
