CBRT Paper Contest for University Students
The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye will hold a CBRT Paper Contest for University Students who are interested in economics, closely monitor economic developments and seek a better grasp and understanding of the economy, so that they can have the opportunity to express their own views.
Third and fourth-year students of universities and colleges providing formal education in Türkiye, who are enrolled in programs listed in the Application Guide (in Turkish), may apply to the contest individually or in teams including a maximum of four people. An applicant can only apply once.
Papers on the following topics will be admitted to the contest:
- Central Banks and Digital Currencies
- Effects of Price Stability on Social Welfare
- Evolution of the CBRT’s Monetary Policy Tools
Requirements:
- Papers should be between 1,500 and 2,500 words in length.
- Papers should be authored in accordance with academic writing rules and format.
- The main idea should be clearly stated in the papers, and the content should be authentic. Papers should contain analyses, evaluations, and conclusions concerning the main subject.
- Papers should be authored in plain language and be understandable to readers.
- The contest jury will evaluate the papers based on specific evaluation criteria.
- Publication of the papers in any medium is subject to permission.

The deadline for applications is 5.30 p.m. on January 30, 2026.
